Sophie Kannemeyer
Sophie Kannemeyer is a highly skilled Special Counsel at Tosh Colls Family Law, bringing nearly a decade of dedicated family law experience to the team. Admitted in 2016, Sophie has built a reputation throughout Brisbane and Ipswich as a practitioner who balances robust advocacy with a genuine commitment to dispute resolution.
Sophie is not only an experienced solicitor but also a Nationally Accredited Mediator and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP). This dual expertise allows her to view cases through multiple lenses, often identifying pathways to settlement that avoid the emotional and financial toll of prolonged litigation.
Known for her calm demeanour and meticulous preparation, Sophie excels at helping clients navigate the complexities of the legal system with confidence. Whether she is acting as a mediator to help families reach their own agreements or providing strategic advice in high-stakes negotiations, her focus remains firmly on achieving practical, long-term outcomes.
Outside the Office: When she isn’t in the office or a mediation room, Sophie is likely keeping up with her “10-going-on-23” year old daughter—a daily exercise in negotiation that perfectly complements her legal career!
A true creative at heart, Sophie expresses her artistic side through her own line of gorgeous bohemian jewellery and a custom stationery brand which she sells online. To balance her busy professional and creative life, she is also a keen cross fitter and runner, finding clarity and energy through exercise.

Jordan McConnell
Jordan is a compassionate and dedicated Associate at Tosh Colls Family Law, where she guides individuals through the complexities of separation with both heart and high-level legal expertise. She understands that family law is about much more than just paperwork; it’s about people, their children, and their futures.
With a career focused exclusively on family law, Jordan joined Tosh Colls after practicing at several prominent family law firms in Brisbane. This background gave her a deep understanding of the local court systems and a versatile approach to problem-solving. She is equally comfortable advocating for her clients in a courtroom as she is finding creative, amicable solutions through mediation.
Jordan’s approach is defined by active listening and providing gentle and caring claret for her clients. She prides herself on ensuring her clients feel supported and informed at every turn.
Outside the Office
When she isn’t advocating for her clients, Jordan’s world revolves around her beautiful young family and her beloved dogs. While she currently enjoys the slightly slower pace of life with a young family, she hasn’t lost her adventurous spirit and love of all things adrenaline inducing—wakeboarding and tubing – she doesn’t need to be asked twice! Jordan also plans to one day get back on a motorbike to recapture some of the “thrill-seeking” excitement of her youth.
