
Tarah Tosh
Tarah Tosh is a dedicated and highly respected family lawyer with over 25 years of experience. As a founding director of Tosh Colls Family Law in Brisbane, Tarah is passionate about guiding clients through the legal and emotional complexities of separation, parenting disputes, child support issues, and property settlements.
Having achieved accreditation as a Family Law Specialist in 2005, Tarah has received recognition in the Doyle’s Guide for “Leading Parenting & Children’s Matters Lawyer Rankings – Brisbane” and “Leading Family & Divorce Lawyer Rankings – Brisbane.” She has also shared her expertise at legal education events and conferences, presenting on parenting matters, property disputes, child support agreements and best practices in family law.
Tarah has previously been a Head of Family Law and managed approximately 15 solicitors. She supervised and mentored junior solicitors and was invited by the Family Law Practitioners Association to be a mentor at their “Confidence in the Courtroom Advocacy Workshop”.
Known for her compassionate approach and emotional intelligence, Tarah understands the emotional and financial impact of family law disputes. She works tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients, striving to resolve matters efficiently while minimising conflict and costs. Tarah collaborates with accountants, financial planners, counsellors, therapists and child support advocates to provide comprehensive support throughout the process.
Tarah prioritizes reaching agreements through negotiation and private mediation but will advocate fiercely when litigation becomes necessary.

Beyond her legal practice, Tarah is committed to community service, volunteering with Women’s Legal Service and supporting vulnerable clients facing family law challenges. She also will offer her time when available to assist other boutique family law firm owners when they need to take personal leave or are affected by illness.
In her personal time, Tarah enjoys spending time with her daughters, visiting family and friends who live on the Darling Downs, walking her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, reading and podcasts (particularly self help), travel, going to concerts, comedy shows and musical theatre.
Kirstie Colls
Kirstie Colls is an experienced Accredited Family Law Specialist dedicated to helping clients achieve practical, fair, and sustainable solutions in all aspects of family law. She understands that every client’s situation is unique and tailors her approach to suit each client’s needs, whether through mediation, negotiation, or litigation.
Kirstie’s practice encompasses all facets of family and de facto relationship law and she is particularly skilled in high-conflict parenting matters and complex property settlements involving global assets.
With over 23 years of dedicated experience, Kirstie has been consistently acknowledged in Doyle’s Guide as a Leading Parenting & Children’s Lawyer and also featured in the Best Lawyers list. With a reputation for her empathetic approach and clear, strategic advice, Kirstie is committed to reducing stress for clients during what can be one of the most challenging times in their lives.
Kirstie is a founding Director of Tosh Colls Family Law, a Nationally Accredited Mediator and a Collaborative Law Practitioner. She also is a Director of Pacifica Congress, a multidisciplinary organisation that brings together family law professionals across the Pacific region, including countries such as Singapore and Hong Kong with the goal of improving family law for children and families. She continues to volunteer with Women’s Legal Service.
Kirstie is a strong advocate for her clients and is passionate about ensuring that they understand their options and feel empowered to make informed decisions. Her unwavering dedication to her clients, her profession, and her community continues to make a significant impact in the field of family law.
Kirstie loves to travel and has enjoyed many an adventure, meeting new friends and diving into new cuisines in many countries all around the globe. She also loves all things dance and theatre and has been known to grace a stage or two in her past; is an amateur green thumb and loves good food, good gin and talking nonsense with friends and family. She lives with her two cheeky Springer Spaniels who constantly make her laugh and is otherwise a proud aunt to four nephews and a niece.
